i. If material is extended out from an inlet tube, gently
remove material with the bronze brush or needle-nose
pliers.
ii. Inspect for damage to the inlet tube.

B. (For SST) Inspect the model liquefier inlet tube, and the
support inlet funnel covering the support liquefier inlet tube
(see Figure 24).
i. If material is extended out from the inlet tube:
a. Gently remove material with the bronze brush or
needle-nose pliers, if necessary.
b. Inspect for damage to the inlet tube.
i. If material is extended out from the support inlet fun-
nel:
a. Gently remove material with the bronze brush or
needle-nose pliers, if necessary.
b. If the material buildup in the inlet funnel is difficult
to remove, insert a 1/16” Allen wrench into the
liquefier inlet funnel and try pushing the
obstruction forward.
c. If this doesn’t work, remove the liquefier inlet
funnel using a 1/4” nut driver. Dissolve support
material from the funnel with the soluble support
solution.

It is typical for material to build up around the
BST Support Liquefier Inlet
Tube
(shown with only the sup-
port drive block removed)
BST Model Liquefier Inlet
Tube will look the same.
