2. With the Phillips-head screwdriver provided in the Startup Kit,
release the two screws securing the head assembly (see
Figure 20 - the screws require only ΒΌ turn to release). Swing
open the front half of the head.
NOTE
You may feel resistance when you swing open the front half of
the head. One, or both, of the material filament lines are likely to
still be routed into the head and held by the drive motor. This is
normal. Swing the door open slowly, but firmly.

3. Attempt to re-establish extrusion.
NOTE
Both material filaments must be coming out of the feed tubes at
the back of the head (see
Figure 21) and still be going into the
drive block funnels in the front half of the head in order to
proceed with this step. If not, skip to step 4.
A. Run both filament motors forward while gently pushing the
filament that stopped extruding into the filament guide
rollers. Do so for about three seconds.

The head area is very hot!! Use leather
gloves when working in this area of
printer!
