Helix Factor:It is used to represent the actual length of the optical cable. The
optical fiber revolves around the central axis in the optical cable tray. If it is
necessary to test the length of the optical cable, the Helix Factor needs to be used.
After setting the Helix Factor, the measured "position / length" follows the
following formula: D (position, length) = (1 - reinforcement coefficient) *
measured value.
To define the actual pitch starting point of the fiber, you can set the starting
fiber length. When testing the equipment, connect a starting optical fiber between
the equipment and the tested optical fiber. This is why the fiber pitch includes the
startup fiber by default. When defining the length of the start-up fiber, the
application sets the fiber diameter at the beginning of the measured fiber.
Therefore, only events related to the defined fiber diameter are considered. The
application will include the loss caused by the pitch start event in the displayed
value. The radial distance start event will also be considered in determining the
