Recording Loops Sequentially Using JamSync
To record loops to a master and slave sequentially using JamSync:
1. Select an empty memory location in
each JamMan Solo XT device using
the <UP/DOWN> buttons (LOOP
and SINGLE LEDs will be off).
2. If you wish to play to the Rhythm
Guide Track (optional), tap the master
device’s <TEMPO> button a few
times at the rate you want the phrase
tempo to be. You will begin to hear
the Rhythm Guide Track and the
beats will be indicated by a flashing
TEMPO button LED. When using the
Rhythm Guide Track, time signature
can be manually set to another time
signature other than the default 4
beats per measure (see “Setup > Time
Signature
”).
3. Press the <PEDAL SWITCH> on the
slave device. This will arm the slave
for recording, indicated by a flashing
red STATUS LED.
4. Press the <PEDAL SWITCH> on the
master device to initiate recording
and begin playing. If you set a tempo
in step 2, you will receive a one
measure count in, indicated by a
flashing red and green STATUS LED.
After the count in, begin playing with
the first beat to start recording.
Recording will be indicated by a solid
red STATUS LED.
5. As soon as you’re done recording,
press the <PEDAL SWITCH>
again to stop recording and initiate
playback. At the same time, the slave
device will begin recording, indicated
by a solid red STATUS LED. Play the
phrase you would like recorded in
the slave device.
