GB SOFTWARE UPDATE • Turn on the Slave receiver. When the Slave receiver is powered ON, it will automatically check the software status of master receiver, find the “rom.bin” file to be upgraded in master receiver and shift into Download mode. • During the download, Front panel of Slave Receiver will display the procedure situation. • After completed Download, Slave Receiver automatically writes downloaded data in its Flash Rom. The Slave receiver will automatically check the downloaded data.
GB SOFTWARE UPDATE Software Upgrade • If correct Port is selected, then the information of current version of the Receiver will be displayed on the main menu. • If you want to upgrade now, then press “Upgrade Software” and find the “rom.bin” file to be up-graded in your PC. Then press “Open”. • During the download, your PC will display the procedure situation and the green light on the front panel will turn on and flicker.
GB SOFTWARE UPDATE Introduction The objective is to list the steps for upgrading the FTLink. Steps to be followed for PC to receiver upgrading Connect Receiver to PC • Connect receiver to your PC using RS232C cable. (Don‘t attempt to connect the PC to the receiver while either of the unit is powered on. It might caused a electrical shock!) • Using a twisted/cross serial cable to connect the PC with the RS232 port of the receiver. Before connecting make sure that the cable is working.
GB CONDITIONAL ACCESS Change Signature PIN Do the same way as the above Change PIN. Note: The signature PIN will be locked after the three erroneous attempts to enter the correct PIN. If locked, please call the dealer for help. Maturity Level In Maturity level submenu, you can change the smart card s maturity level, which will affect whether scrambled program is granced or not. • Es sThere are four levels for selection: A-Over18, X Erotic, G-For the family, PG-with parental Guidance.
GB CONDITIONAL ACCESS Smart Card • Select Smart Card item in Conditional Access menu and press [OK] key to enter into submenu. • There are 9 items in this menu: • Card Information • Change PIN • Change Signature PIN • Maturity Level • Subscription Status • Event Status • Token Status • Mail • Product Ordering • Use [PR+/PR] keys to select desired item and press [OK] to enter into its submenu.
GB CONDITIONAL ACCESS The receiver makes you enjoy various scrambled channels encrypted by Viaccess, Nagravision, Irdeto, Conax, Cryptoworks and SECA. Preparing • To be able to receive scrambled digital satellite channels you need a Smartcard and a Common Interface CA (Coniditonal Access) module from the Service Provider of your choice. • The Smartcard and the CA module may also provide access to special menus not described in this manual. If so, please follow the instructions from the Service Provider.
GB ANTENNA DIRECTION HELP Although you entered correct value in Antenna Set up menu, if your antenna is positioned incorrectly, you could not receive signal from the Satellite. So the receiver provides Antenna Direction Help in order for you to have exact information to direct your antenna toward a satellite. • First select your desired Satellite name and then the location of selected satellite will be displayed. In case the location of the satellite is changed, you can re-set the new location.
GB GAME System has provided several games to enjoy your life. • Select Game item in the Game and Receiver Information sub menu, and press [OK] key to enter into its window. • It contains six games of Russia Box, Greedy snake, Ball, Five chess, BlackWhite chess, and Push box. • Select the game that you want to play and press [OK] key to enter into its window. • In each game window, If you don‘t know how to play it, please press [INFO] key on the RCU for help.
GB TIMER The TIMER function allows you to program the timer with various ways. This function is one of the strong point of the receiver. To activate the Turn On Time and/or Turn Off Time, select YES and enter your desired time. Note: The receiver display the time which is given by satellite, so there may be some differences between actual time and the receiver‘s time. Time Adjust • Set local time: Adjust your local time. • Summer time: If you are in summer time, select ON.
GB EPG (Electronic Program Guide) • Das Then EPG box will be displayed. • You can see the channel in the PIG screen, channel list in the left side and Program schedule for selected channel will be displayed in the right side. The time will be displayed relating to the program schedule. • Select one channel and placing the mark on the time of Program name which detail information you want to know. Then you can see blue button, if there is details information of the channel.
GB CHANNEL MANAGER/EPG Sort Channel • In Main Page, press [MENÜ] key on the RCU and select Sort on the command menu. • This Sort menu has its sub command and it allows you to sort the channels as you like. You can sort the channels by Favorite, Lock, Scramble and Program name. • Place the cursor on your desired line, and then press [OK] key. • And check whether the channels are sorted properly on the channel list or not. Note: Radio Channel Manager has the same operation as TV channel Manager.
GB CHANNEL MANAGER Rename Channel • In Main Page, press [MENU] key on the RCU, and then select Rename on the command menu. • This Rename command allow you to rename the channel. • First select the channel to be renamed and press [OK] key, then, keypad dialog box will be displayed. • Edit your desired name entering word or number. • To delete characters or numbers, select in the keypad dialog. • And check whether the channel name is changed on channel list properly or not.
GB CHANNEL MANAGER Move Channel • In the TV channel manager page, press [Move] key (yellow key) on the RCU. • Select a channel by pressing [OK] key and move the cursor to the location in which you want to move the selected channel and press [OK] key. • Then, you will find the selected channel is moved to the desired location and channel no. also changed in order accordingly. • And check whether the channel number is changed on the channel list.
GB CHANNEL MANAGER Favorite Channel • When you select channel manager, default favorite list will be showed on the screen as Favorite 1. • Select your favorite channel and then press [OK] key. Then will be marked at rear of your selected channel name. • Wenn And if you want to delete the channel name in the favorite channel list, press mark will [OK] key once again, then the be disappeared.
GB CHANNEL MANAGER The receiver provides most powerful channel managing function in the world and this function allows you to have a more interesting and useful operation as well as watching channels simply. Manager • Manager consists of TV program Manager, Radio Program Manager. Press [OK] key placing the cursor on the TV Program Manager. Note: Since the usage of Radio Program Manager is same as that of TV Program Manager, in this manual only TV Channel manager is explained.
GB GENERAL VIEWING FUNCTION Volume & Audio Control • Volume Control: To increase or decrease volume, use key on the RCU or [VOL] on the front panel. Note: The receiver has 32 volume levels and this shall be controlled from the adjusted volume level of your TV. • Mute: To mute the sound, press sound, press this key once again. button on the RCU. Previous channel recall • Press [PR] key on the RCU to move the previous channel which you watched before. Channel Information • Every time you change channels, you will receive program information for a few seconds. • While watching channel, you can see the current channel information anytime, pressing [INFO] key on the RCU.
GB GENERAL VIEWING FUNCTION • Move the point to the FAVORITE by using [PR+/PR-] on the RCU, and then eight functional options (favorite 1 to favorite 8) will flip out. • The middle list will show all the satellite from which the programs in the receiver come when selecting SATELLITE ways to arrange the programs. The right list show all the programs related to the selected satellite.
GB GENERAL VIEWING FUNCTION Select Channel The following describes the basic functions of your receiver while watching satellite TV or listening to satellite radio. While watching, the current channel information will be shown on the bottom of the screen if you press [INFO] button on the RCU. • If you want to select channel, use [CH] key on the front panel or [PR+/PR-] key on the RCU or numeric key on the RCU to select a channel and press [OK] key on the RCU.

Exit this menu. Select any menu and press [OK] on the RCU. Then Enter Password Box will be displayed. Unless enter correct password, you can not run any menu. Note: Default password is 0000. Warning: Do not forget your password in order not to fail to operate the receiver.
GB MENU INFORMATION Parental Lock This function allows you to lock the channel with your password in order to prevent from accessing the channel by your children or any other person. And also you can protect your installed data and information using Install Lock. How to change Password: • • • • Enter the current password. Select ON of Parental Lock. Enter new password. Confirm your new password entering new password again. Note: Default password is 0000.
GB MENU INFORMATION System Setting System Setting menu allows you to change the principal option and to set other items proper to your environment by pressing [OK] key on the RCU. • OSD Language: Select your desired language. • Audio Language: Select your desired audio language to be in the top priority under the condition that this language is supported from the channel. • LNB power: If your receiver is connected to LNB, select EIN.

You can see the information of selected satellite in the right side. Edit Mode: If you want to edit those preprogrammed data such as Transponder, Frequency, Symbol Rate, Polarization and 22 KHz, please press Edit mode key (red key) on the RCU. And then you can move into those columns to change the value.

System will search all TV and Radio programs under this satellite. • After searching, press [OK] key to view the searched programs, or press [EXIT] key to return to Antenna Setup window. USALS Setup Menu • If you select USALS Setup Menu button (blue key), the USALS Setup Menu will pop up. Through this menu, you can position your antenna correctly.

GB MENU INFORMATION Reset DiSEqC limit: • If you want to reset the East limit or West limit, place a cursor on Reset DiSEqC Limit button and then press [OK] key on the RCU. • The message of “Would you like to reset limit for DiSEqC positioner?” will be displayed for your confirmation. • Select [OK] button by pressing [OK] key on the RCU. • The cursor will move to the East limit button so that you can reset the limit. After that, please reset West limit same as before.
