C.2.3 Labeling the Cables

This section describes how to label correctly the cables for the VAX 6000 series

system, the DECarray, and its SF7x storage enclosures and tape magazine

ISEs.

At this point, all steps in the previous sections must be complete.

C.2.3.1 Completing the System Conﬁguration Sheet

At this time, you should be ready to ﬁll out the system conﬁguration sheet. An

example of the sheet is in Figure C–6 and in the KFMSA Module Installation

and User Manual. Refer to these examples when ﬁlling out the system

conﬁguration sheet.

Note

Do not attempt to ﬁll out and place the labels until you have completed

the system conﬁguration sheet.

The information from the system conﬁguration sheet is used to ﬁll out

the labels correctly for all DSSI cables, SF7x storage enclosure OCPs, and

magazine tape ISE front panels.

You can also refer to the inside cover of the SF Family Label Booklet for

instructions on ﬁlling out these labels.
