CLOSE PLATEN
Instruction Indication Yes No
1. Load paper. Close the forms
thickness lever. Run an
operator print test.
“CLOSE PLATEN” message. Go to step 2. Return printer to
normal operation.
2. Power off the printer.
Disconnect the platen
interlock switch connector.
Check the switch with a
meter.
Switch is bad. Replace platen
interlock switch
assembly.
Replace CMX
controller board.
