The Display
The display reads different types of messages according to the printer state and the operating
mode.
The Basic Screen
The basic screen is displayed in Normal mode. It is overwritten with interactive messages which
are described in a section below.
The display is divided in three parts: the printer state

Printer State Message Meaning
Ready
The printer is in Ready state.
Busy
The printer is in Busy state.
Pause
The printer is in Pause state.
Quiet
The printer is in Quiet state.
Note: The
Quiet
message overwrites the other printer state messages.
Lock Symbol Meaning
The use of a specific font or a specific horizontal pitch is forced (see
"The Font/Pitch Screen").
