printer performance.
Before an
Extended Shutdown
When you will not be using the printer for more than one week:
1. Turn the printer off and unplug the power cord.
2. Remove the paper trays and store them in a place that is not
susceptible to moisture and dust.
Cleaning the Printer
When cleaning the printer exterior, keep the following points
in mind:
WARNING: The power to the printer should be off before
cleaning the printer. The power switch should be in the O
position and unplugged from the wall outlet.
Use a soft, dry cloth to remove dust and dirt on the outer
surface of the printer.
If dirt is hard to wipe off with a dry cloth, use a cloth
dampened with water or a mild detergent dissolved in water.
CAUTION: Be careful not to get water inside the printer.
Never use alcohols or paint thinner.
