This power is supplied by the printer through the 25-way serial port connector. The DEClaserFAX has a power supply port, the round 3.5-mm jack socket on the side of the DEClaserFAX, but this is not required for operation with your printer and no connection should be made to this socket.

Refer to the software's documentation and check the troubleshooting information. Check that the printer can send faxes. The printer sends a fax when an application issues a print command and the printer driver software defines the print output as fax output. When you send a fax, nothing appears to happen for about 30 seconds.
