Removing a Removable-Media Drive
Removal Steps
To take a removable-media drive out of the system unit, follow
these steps:
1. Disconnect the SCSI and power cables from the system.
2. Release the two thumbscrews and remove the drive bracket
from the system.
3. Disconnect the SCSI and power cables from the drive.
4. Remove the two screws on each side of the drive bracket that
secure the drive.
5. Lift the drive out of the bracket.
6. Replace the bracket in the system unit and tighten the two
thumbscrews.
7. Reconnect the system SCSI and power cables.
8. Install the filler plate.
