Using an Antistatic Wrist Strap

To avoid damage to internal components from static discharge,

wear an antistatic wrist strap before handling any drive or

module, and before touching anything inside the system.

Putting On an

Antistatic Wrist

Strap

To use the wrist strap, follow the instructions on the envelope.

Note that the wrist strap may be attached to the metal surface

of either side of the power supply, as shown in Figure 2–11.
