Upgrade Procedure
Step 3:
Complete the
Upgrade
1. Follow the instructions in the DEC 3000
Model 800/800S/900 AXP Options Guide to install the
options in your new system.
2. Follow the instructions in the DEC 3000
Model 800/800S/900 AXP Owner’s Guide to complete
the upgrade.
Step 4: Return
Your System to
Digital
Return your Model 500/500X system as follows:
1. Pack the system unit securely in the packing material that
the Model 900 came in.
2. Attach the return-address label that came in the upgrade
accessory kit.
Step 5:
Upgrade
Service
Contract
Contact your Digital service representative to upgrade your
hardware service contract.
