1.3 NICE 3200 Fanless System
NICE 3200
The NICE 3200 fanless system with aluminum chassis targets
industrial automation applications such as logistics, eld controllers,
data acquisition, equipment PC, access control and others. There
are some special requirements under these denitions, for example,
more serial ports for legacy device connection that includes two
RS422/RS485 interfaces with Automatic Flow Control, ±15 KV ESD
protected and Isolation (Optical Isolation, Min 2 KV) though a 10-pin
screw terminal connector. Furthermore, an optional NVRAM socket is
reserved for memory backup SRAM, which offers optional dedicated
plug-in NVRAM memory.
Apart from the designed-in features such as both an internal and external Com-
pactFlash socket, VGA, USB Port, LPT, KB, mouse, Ethernet and audio inter-
face, there are extra user-friendly features such as Type I/II PC Card (PCMCIA)
support which provides PC card add-on module to enhance the overall solution
and two LEDs that connect to GPIO that are programmable for alarms or other
purposes dened by a developer. An on-board power control circuit accepts a
wide range single input DC power supply voltages from +9 V to +36 V that allow
the NICE 3200 to meet most application requirements.

NICE 3220
The NICE 3220 fanless system with aluminum chassis targets a
range of industrial automation applications such as logistics, eld con-
trollers, data acquisition, equipment PC, access control and others.
Serial ports for legacy device connection includes two RS422/RS485
interfaces with Automatic Flow Control, ±15 KV ESD protected and
Isolation (Optical Isolation, Min 2 KV) though a 10-pin screw termi-
nal connector. Furthermore, an optional NVRAM socket is reserved
for memory backup SRAM, which offers optional dedicated plug-in
NVRAM memory.
Apart from the useful designed-in features such as internal Com-
pactFlash socket, VGA, USB Port, LPT, KB, mouse, Ethernet and
audio interface, there are extra features such as Type I/II PC Card
(PCMCIA) which provides a PC card add-on that is great for wireless
expansion and two LEDs that connect to GPIO that are programma-
ble for alarms or other purposes dened by a developer. An on-board
power control circuit accepts a wide range of single input DC power
supply voltages from +9 V to +36 V allowing the NICE 3220 Series to
meet most application requirements in the industrial eld.
