Loc-Down
by MARKS USA: Life
Safety Classroom Intruder ANSI/
BHMA F110 Function Leverset
To answer the chal-
lenge of security
and life safety in
today’s classroom
environment,
Marks USA Custom
Lockset Division
has developed
the Loc-Down™
Classroom Intruder
ANSI/BHMA F110
Function Leverset
with Clutch Design
(Marks USA Function DB). Marks USA
has incorporated all of the standard
features of their Survivor Series Lock-
sets (clutch system, super strength
retractor, long-life lever support
springs and a life test of over 3 mil-
lion Cycles) with their new Life Safety
Classroom Intruder Function.
At the first sign of trouble outside,
lock down a classroom instantly with
Marks USAs Loc-Down™ Intruder
Locksets. Typical Classroom func-
tion cylindrical locksets are designed
to be locked or unlocked from the
exterior with the interior always
in an open position, but allows in
emergency life safety situations the
teacher to secure the classroom with-
out stepping into the hallway to lock
the outside handle. Faculty & stu-
dents remain safely within the class-
room. There is no need to open the
door, the exterior lever is disabled by
operating the interior lock cylinder.

Detex Delayed
Egress with Latch
Retraction
Detex’s Delayed Egress with Latch
Retraction (EExER) is designed for
applications where both delayed
egress and remote unlocking, remote
dogging, access control or an auto-
matic door operator is desired. An
optional EX Request to Exit Switch
may be added for push pad monitor-
ing or LX Switch for latch bolt moni-
toring. The 100 dB alarm, will sound
when someone attempts to exit but
the door will remain locked for 15
seconds, deterring unauthorized exits
and providing time to respond to the
alarm. Ideal for restricted areas, access
controlled doors, and any door requir-
ing authorized entry or exit, while
preventing unauthorized entry or exit.
Perfect for fire-rated, cross corridor,
access controlled, delayed egress
doors with automatic operators, all
without using magnetic locks or elec-
tric strikes.

Ecoflex
Electrified Mortise Locks
from SARGENT and
Corbin Russwin
Ecoflex™ technology, available in
electrified mortise locks from ASSA
ABLOY Group brands Corbin Russ-
win and SARGENT, represents a
significant innovation in door open-
ing technology. The Ecoflex electri-
fied mortise lock is ideal for access
control applications, whether used in
conjunction with a wall reader, in an
integrated hardwired lock, or in an
integrated battery-powered lock.
Ecoflex offers a flexible, reliable
solution with a single ANSI/BHMA
Grade 1 mortise lock that can serve a
variety of uses. One lock body can be
used for 12V - 24V applications and
can be easily field-configured for fail-
safe or fail-secure operation.
The locks offer a 97 percent reduc-
tion in energy usage compared to
standard electrified locks. Drawing
less than ¼ watt at 12V, Ecoflex
offers more flexibility to consolidate
power supplies and reduce operating
costs. With the lower power draw,
the load on each power supply is
lessened, reducing costs, simplifying
deployment and improving system
reliability.
Ecoflex’s innovative actuator
design further improves system reli-
ability by eliminating the risk of volt-
age drops and inductive kickback,
enabling longer cable runs and
eliminating the need to add kickback
diodes to an installation, for reduced
cost and complexity.
