eConsole Network
Management Software for
ComNet Ethernet Switches
ComNet, Communication Networks
of Danbury, Conn., a USA-based man-
ufacturer of fiber optic, wireless and
copper transmission and network-
ing equipment, has introduced the
eConsole software suite, designed
to manage and monitor Ethernet
network devices. The software allows
users to manage, be informed of criti-
cal situations, and provide immediate
recovery assistance in the event of a
network challenge.
The three main features of the
eConsole software are: Centralized
management, which allows users
to discover and configure all the
switches in the network at once;
Visualized Management, called
eVision, which displays the complex
topologies of the switches in the
network, allowing administrators to
manage intuitively and efficiently;
and device monitoring, called eMoni-
tor, which allows administrators to be
made aware of unexpected changes
to switch configuration and check
the status of all IP-devices on the
network.
Three different licenses are avail-
able based on the number of network
switches deployed.
ComNet offers an extensive line of
fiber optic, copper and wireless video
and data transmission equipment
uniquely designed to meet the needs
of the security and intelligent trans-
portation market. For full product line
details, call direct 203-796-5300 or

Honeywells Wi-Fi
Repeater Extender
Honeywell’s Wi-Fi Repeater Extender (WREX)
extends Wi-Fi signals, expanding the number of
locations in homes and businesses where secu-
rity dealers can install Wi-Fi IP cameras. Adding
wireless IP cameras in areas that may be out of
range of a customers’ existing Wi-Fi router can
be challenging. WREX fills the signal gap by
repeating the existing Wi-Fi signals to help elimi-
nate dead zones. It comes as a plug-and-play
device that is ready for deployment out of the box. Configuration is easy, thanks to
push-button Wi-Fi protected setup (WPS) and an available wired Ethernet connec-
tion. WREX conforms to the most popular wireless standards: 802.11n, 802.11g or
802.11b.

PoE+ Ethernet Switch
from Moxa
Moxa’s PoE+ Ethernet switches are engineered to
perform in harsh outdoor and industrial manufactur-
ing environments. Featuring 3KV LAN surge protec-
tion and a wide temperature range (-40°C to +75°C),
the EDS-P510A-8PoE Series ensures network speeds
of up to 1000 Mbps to eliminate bottlenecks. The
Gigabit managed PoE+ switches are equipped with
8 10/100BaseT(X), 802.3af (PoE), and 802.3at (PoE+)-
compliant Ethernet ports; along with two combo Giga-
bit Ethernet ports. The versatile switches can reliably
be used with as weather-proof IP surveillance cameras with wipers/heaters, as well
as wireless access points and bridges, or rugged IP phones, providing flexibility
and ease of deployment to networks.

Combo Carbon Monoxide & Smoke
Detector from System Sensor
The i
4
Series Combination CO/Smoke Detector and Integration Module from System
Sensor can integrate with conventional security and fire panels. Available in 2-wire and
4-wire versions, both with photoelectric smoke and electrochemical CO sensing tech-
nologies, an integration module greatly simplifies installation. Since the module sits
next to the panel, the system uses about 75 percent fewer wires, which translates into lower
installation cost and time without sacrificing performance. www.systemsensor.com/i4

Fire-Lite Alarms’ Lite-Connect
Multi-Mode Fiber Solution
The Lite-Connect multi-mode fiber solution from Fire-Lite Alarms by Hon-
eywell is designed to join as many as 16 remote fire alarm control panels
together to report all systems’ signals to a central monitoring station as
one. This centralized reporting method eliminates significant telecommunications costs to communicate signals
from each individual panel. The use of multi-mode fiber optic cable to connect panels offers robust protection
from common ground faults, and other electrical surges, many times caused by lightning strikes.

ELK Two-Way Wireless Smoke Detector
ELK Products’ ELK-6050 Two-Way Wireless Smoke Detector is a vital part to the ELK Two-
Way Wireless product line. The smoke detector provides a two-way wireless solution with
a built-in sounder. In the event of a fire alarm, whether detected by the unit or another
source, the two-way wireless technology allows ELK M1 controls to activate the built-in
sounders of all enrolled smoke detectors. It is powered by long-life 3V Lithium batteries and
uses photoelectric smoke detection and rapid “rate-of-rise” temperature detection. www.elkproducts.com

Sprinkler
Monitoring Panel
from Potter
Panels designed for
sprinkler monitor-
ing applications are
virtually nonexistent.
DACT only dialers are
severely limited and a
traditional fire alarm
panel with DACT is
overkill and costly.
Potter’s new PFC-6006
Sprinkler Monitoring
Panel is ideally suited
to cost effectively
monitor a fire sprinkler
or small conventional
fire system. It also meets new NFPA 72 2013
phone line backup requirements utilizing built-
in IP technology with no additional costs. The
PFC-6006 can communicate with up to 20
email addresses and can be sent notification
of alarms, troubles, and supervisory events.
Email requests can be sent to the panel for
event history or configuration files and can be
programmed to email you reminders such as
when an inspection or test is due. This panel is
backed by a five-year warranty.
