4.1.3 Export/Import
Copy the system configuration values from this DVR to save for your records or copy to another DVR. “Export” allows you to
copy the settings to a USB memory device. “Import” allows you to apply previously saved settings from a USB device and
override the current DVR settings. You can select to import or export specific settings, or copy the DVR’s entire setup options.
During import, make sure the firmware version of the source DVR is the same as the destination DVR.
4.1.4 HDD
HDD sub-menu displays all relevant information regarding all HDDs installed in the DVR. Press ‘Check’ next to the HDD’s
name to view that HDD’s health status. The system will display:
Model: Make and model of the Hard Drive.
Size: Total HDD size, in KB.
Temperature: HDD temperature. Normal operating temperatures is between 30° and 45°C degrees.
Live Time: Remaining estimated hours of operation.
Bad Sector: any unusable areas in the HDD that may affect recording.
Select “Overwrite” or “Rec Stop” when HDD is full. If ‘Overwrite’ is selected, new video will be recorded OVER older data
when HDD is full. If ‘Rec Stop’ is selected, all recording will stop when the HDD is full.
To format the HDD, check the box next to the HDD, and click “HDD Clear”
If system resources are occupied with task, such as making a network connection or performing video playback during the
format process, the format may fail. If the format fails, reboot the system and try again.
NOTE
1) Formatting may take 40 sec for 320GB, 1 minutes for 500GB, or 7 minutes for 2TB.
2) The system always reserves a maximum of 20GB of space in each built-in HDD for archiving
effectively.
