Geng Networked
The Opons
Connected or Networked digital signage allows clients to update content to mulple displays remotely at the push of
a buon. Connected networks enable content to be me relevant. They also allow clients to collect real-me reports
on network compliance – providing alarms when screens are switched o or not working.
Digital View oers a range of simple alternaves for networked digital signage;
DV-Connect allows clients to set up signage on their
internal network infrastructure. Each display is
assigned an IP address and users simply drag and drop
(‘push’) content les into the relevant media folder.
DV-Connect allows users to group mulple players
together, to enable single update of mulple players.
It also allows for the scheduling of content updates, so
they can be sent at specic mes.
Suitable for clients working within a local area network
(LAN) or intranet - thereby avoiding network external
rewalls and potenal 3rd party screen hacks.
INTRANET : DV-Connect (‘PUSH’) INTERNET : DV-Sync (‘PULL’)
DV-Sync is specically suited to internet applicaons ,
where players are located in remote locaons beyond a
local area network or large internal networks.
Using DV-Sync signs are programmed to connect
outwards, roung to a specic idened folder on a
central PC or Server. If the sign nds that new content
has been assigned to its folder, it then downloads the
media (‘pull’).
The signs can be set to contact the central PC as oen
as required automacally downloading content, and
sending back compliance data from the eld.
