Specifications
Remote control Settings
All settings are defined from the Remote TRX window (Transceiver/Remote TRX
submenu).
Warning
This section describes the specific settings required for remote control. It does not describe how to
configure your local (real) station (choices for transceiver, cw interface, rotors...). Please do not
attempt configuring TRX-Manager for remote control before your local station (called SERVER) is
perfectly operational.
Tip
This section describes how to set up TRX-Manager for the standard mode of control. Once the
standard mode is set up and working, you may eventually consider the real mode of control. But,
please, do not attempt configuring TRX-Manager for the real mode before you are sure the
standard mode is perfectly operational.
Conventions
You control the SERVER (or remote station) from the CLIENT (or base) station.
Please imagine you have to control a FT-1000 remotely + a CW Keyer, a rotator...
SERVER will be the station equipped with a computer and a serial interface to control the
FT-1000 Transceiver + a CW Keyer, a rotator...
CLIENT will be the computer from which YOU control the remote station connected to
SERVER through a Network or Packet.
Please note you can only control SERVER from CLIENT by using a computer (+ keyboard,
mouse, joystick) ; no other interface or device or hardware is required or supported from
CLIENT for remote control (CW Paddle excepted: see below and Remote Operation).
