Readthismanualcarefullyandhaveyourinstallerinstructyouonyoursystem'soperationandon
whichfeatureshavebeenimplementedinyoursystem.Allusersofthissystemshouldbefully
instructedinitsuse.FillouttheSystemInformationpagewithallofyourzoneinformationand
accesscodes,andstorethismanualinasafeplaceforfuturereference.
Note:TheWS900securitysystemincludesspecificfalsealarmreductionfeaturesandisclassified
inaccordancewithANSI/SIACP-01-2014ControlPanelStandard-FeaturesforFalseAlarm
Reduction.Consultyourinstallerforfurtherinformationregardingthefalsealarmreductionfea-
turesbuiltintoyoursystem,asthismanualdoesnotcoverallfeatures.
1.1 Fire Detection
Thissystemcanmonitorfiredetectiondevices,suchassmokedetectors,andprovideawarningifa
fireconditionisdetected.Goodfiredetectiondependsonhavinganadequatenumberofdetectors
placedinappropriatelocations.ThisequipmentmustbeinstalledinaccordancewithNFPA72
(N.F.P.A.,BatterymarchPark,QuinceyMA02269).CarefullyreviewtheFamilyEscapePlanning
guidelinesinthismanual.

1.2 Carbon Monoxide Detection
Thissystemcanmonitorcarbonmonoxidedetectorsandprovideawarningifcarbonmonoxideis
detected.ReadtheFamilyEscapePlanningguidelinesinthismanualandtheinstructionsforthecar-
bonmonoxidedetector.

1.3 Testing
Testyoursystemweeklytoensurethatyoursystemfunctionsasintended.RefertotheTestingyour
Systemsectioninthismanual.Ifyoursystemdoesnotfunctionproperly,callyourinstallationcom-
panyforservice.
1.4 Monitoring
Thissystemcantransmitalarms,troublesandemergencyinformation.Ifyouinitiateanalarmby
mistake,immediatelycallthecentralstationtopreventanunnecessaryresponse.
Note:
l Yourinstallermustenablethemonitoringfunctionbeforeitisfunctional.
l Consultwithyourinstallertodetermineifyoursystemisconfiguredwithacommunicator
delay.Acommunicatordelaypreventsareporttothecentralstationifthecontrolpanelis
unsetwithin30-45secondsafteranintrusionalarmistriggered.Notethatfire-typealarms
arenormallyreportedwithoutadelay.
l EnsurethatyourinstallerverifiesthatyoursystemiscompatiblewiththeCentralStation
Receiverformatatyearlyintervals.
