3.7 Bypass Zones
Usethezonebypassingfeaturewhenyouneedaccesstoaprotectedareawhilethesystemis
armed,orwhenazoneistemporarilyoutofservice,butyouneedtoarmthesystem.Bypassed
zonesarenotabletosoundanalarm.Asaresult,bypassingzonesreducesthelevelofsecurity.If
youarebypassingazonebecauseitisnotworking,callaservicetechnicianimmediatelytoresolve
theproblemanrestoreyoursystemtoproperworkingorder.
Ensurethatnozonesareunintentionallybypassedwhenarmingyoursystem.Zonescannotbe
bypassedoncethesystemisarmed.Bypassedzones,exceptfor24-hourzones,areautomatically
cancelledeachtimethesystemisdisarmedandmustbebypassedagainbeforethenextarming.

l Two-hourzonescanonlybeunbypassedmanually.

3.8 Bypass Group
Abypassgroupisaselectionofzonesprogrammedintothesystem.Ifyoubypassagroupofzones
onaregularbasis,youcanprogramthemintoabypassgroup,sothatyoudonothavetobypasseach
zoneindividually.Notethatyoucanonlyprogramonebypassgroupatatime.
