7.0 Managing Users
TheWS900systemsupportsupto100users,includingtheMasteruser.Bydefault,user#1isthe
Masteruser.Youcannotdisableordeletethisuserfromthesystem.Thesystemalsosupportsan
additionaltwoduresscodes,oneforeachpartition.
Fromtheuserapp,youcanprogramandconfigureattributesforusers2thru100.Youcanassigna
usertooneorbothpartitionsandenableordisablesysteminteraction.
Usercodesare4-digitsandmustbeunique;thesystemdoesnotrecognizeduplicatecodes.Ifyou
programaduplicatecode,thesystemerrorsandthecodeisrejected.Ifyoutrytochangeanexist-
ingusercodetoaonethatisalreadyprogrammed,thesystemerrorsandthecodeisunchanged.
7.1 Access Code Types
TheWS900systemprovidesthefollowinguseraccesscodetypes:
Master Code
Thisisthesystemmastercode.Youcannotdisableordeletethiscode,butyou
canchangeitintheuserapp.Usethiscodetoprogramallotheraccesscodes,
includingtheduresscodes.Youcanusethiscodetodoalluser-levelfunctions,
excepttoaccessInstallermode.
User Codes
Therearethreeaccesslevelsforusercodes:
l Level1-Supervisor/Administrator
l Level2-Basic/StandardUser
l Level3-Maintenance/Guest
Eachlevelhasdifferentpermissions.SeeUserCodeAccessLevelsfordescrip-
tionsofeachlevel.
Duress
Codes
Useduresscodestodisarmthesystemonlyinanemergencysituation.When
used,anemergencydisarmeventtransmitstothecentralmonitoringstation.
Thesystemsupportstwoduresscodes,oneforeachpartition.Thesecodesare
excludedfromthetotalnumberofavailablecodes.Theyhavetheaccesslevel
ofaLevel2BasicUser.
7.2 Level 1 Access (Supervisor/Administrator)
Usersatthislevelhavesimilarprivilegestothemasteruserbutarelimitedbasedontheirpartition
assignment.Userscandothefollowingactionsontheirpartitions:

l Bypass/unbypass
l Chimeenable/disable
l Viewtroubles
l Viewalarmmemory
