9 Managing Troubles
9.1 Trouble Conditions
For an explanation of possible trouble conditions and the recommended actions required see see Table 9-1.
When the system detects a trouble condition the following occurs:
The Trouble indicator turns on.
The keypad beeps once every 10 seconds.
Examining troubles is done using the key.
• Press the key to silence the keypad beeps.
• Press the key to view trouble conditions.
• Press the key to acknowledge troubles.

Battery Trouble The system has detected a battery trouble condition on
the main alarm panel. Call for service.

Bus Voltage The system has detected a trouble condition with the
system bus. Call for service.

• Zone Exp
• Output Exp
• Power Supply
• Audio Exp
• Voice Dialer
• Modem
• AML Exp
AC Troubles The system is experiencing loss of power. Call for
service.
If the building and/or neighborhood has lost electri-
cal power, the system will continue to operate on bat-
tery for several hours.

Device Faults The system has detected an issue with one or more
connected devices. Call for service.
• Zones
• Keypad
• Siren
• Repeater
Device Battery The system has detected an issue with one or more of
the device batteries. For Zone, Keypad and Wireless
Key battery troubles see the accompanying
documentation for how to change the batteries. For all
other troubles call for service.
