6.4 Case 3: Multi-Ethernet Hub

Once the hardware has been installed, the clearVISN MultiChassis Manager soft-
ware is used to configure the hub and the modules.
Options
The extra port on the DECswitch 900EE could be used to provide a separate LAN
for connection to:
• A central server.
• The DECserver 900TM.
• The DECbrouter 90T1.
You can substitute the DECrepeater 90T16 with the DECrepeater 900TM or PORTs-
witch 900TP for higher density and/or more management and configuration control.
Figure 6–3 shows the sample configuration.
