Problem Solution
Nothing happens
when you try to use
your printer.
Follow these steps:
1. Be sure the printer is turned on.
2. Shut down your worksystem software, if necessary, and
turn off the printer and the system unit.
3. Be sure the printer power cord is connected to an active
power source.
4. Be sure the printer cable connector is correctly attached to
one of the communications connectors on the system unit.
5. Turn on the system unit and the printer.

that came with your printer.
Nothing happens
when you try to use
a communication
device.
Follow these steps:
1. Be sure the device is turned on.
2. Shut down your worksystem software, if necessary, and
turn off the device and the system unit.
3. Be sure the device power cord is connected to an active
power source.
4. Be sure the connector on the communication device cable
is correctly attached to the communications connector or
the communications connector adapter on the system unit.
5. Turn on the system unit and the device.
