The following is a list of additional items that are recommended for use with the
controller.

handshake capabilities.
Communications link between
the server management station
and the controller in the remote
server.
Uninterruptable power
supply (UPS)
Backup power for a modem and
the controller in case of a power
failure.
Modems
The software supports these modems without modifications:

ATT Paradyne
•
ATT Datalink
The server requires external modems, while either external or internal modems
may be used on the management station. If your modem is not listed above, you
may be need to customize the dialer strings.
