Adjusting Print Quality
This chapter explains how to fix various print quality problems. Before making
any adjustments, print a test page.
8.1 Printing a Test Page
Use the following procedure to print a test page:
1. Press the Pause key to place the printer off line. The following message is
displayed:
Paused–
Press Resume to Continue
2. Press the Test key to print the test page. The following message is
displayed:
Please wait . . .
While the test page is printing, the following message is displayed:
One-sided test page
or
Two-sided test page
After printing the test page, the printer returns to the paused state.
3. Press Resume to return the printer to its operating state.
8.2 Blank Pages
Explanation:
The printer produces blank pages.
Action:
Print a test page (see Section 8.1). If the test page prints correctly, check
your PRINT command or the printer’s Ethernet connections. If the test
page does not print, see your system manager or call Customer Services.
