Installation guide

• All the lights on the operator panel ﬂash.

• The printer performs a diagnostic self-test routine. The message

display shows the test countdown (9 to 0) during warm-up time.

• The message display shows the Ethernet address on the top line and

the ﬁrmware version number (for the controller, engine, and table) on

the bottom line.

Note

Write down the Ethernet address in case you need to refer to it for

diagnostic purposes.

Example:

12–34–56–78–9A–BC

• The message display then reads:

VAX ELN V4.x LPS32

Initializing . . .

• The printer remains in the initializing state until it prints a PostScript

startup page.

Note

The startup page prints only if the printer is conﬁgured to generate it.
