6.2 Required Tools

The tools required to perform the LG31 removal and replacement proce-

dures are:

— Medium screwdriver (regular shank).

— Medium screwdriver (long shank).

— One pair of wire cutters.

— One metric socket set.

— A nylon gauge (DEC P/N 29-26861-00).

— Shim (DEC P/N 29-26862-00).

NOTE

All screwdrivers used for the following procedures are ﬂathead,

unless speciﬁed within the procedure.

6.3 Preparing the Printer For Disassembly

The following steps must be completed before you proceed with the

removal and replacement procedures.

1. Set the power switch to OFF.

2. Unplug the power and interface cables from the printer (see Fig-

ure 6–1).
