5.4.1 Paper Feed Mechanical Faults
If the noise or binding exists during paper feeding, the fault may be one
or more of the following.
Fault Corrective Action
Insufficient clearance
print module and striker
bar.
1. Readjust Print Gap adjustment dial (see the
LG31 Printer Installation/Operator’s Manual).

Incorrect paper tension. 1. Readjust Paper Tension adjustment lever
(see the LG31 Printer Installation/Operator’s
Manual).
Paper feed misalign-
ment.
1. Reload paper on top and bottom tractors (see
the LG31 Printer Installation/Operator’s
Manual).
Tractor Belt misaligned
and/or tension incorrect.

Line feed errors because
of defective Feed Motor.
1. Remove and replace the Paper Feed Motor
(Section 6.19).
