C.7 SMMC—Shuttle Matrix Motor Control
The SMMC board (P/N 29-26735-00) provides drive voltages and control
signals for the shuttle motor, paper motor, and ribbon motor. The SMMC
board also controls the front and rear fans. The front is switched ON
during printing, and OFF when not printing, while the rear fan is
switched HI during printing, and LOW when not printing. Both fans
are switched OFF when the shuttle is stopped (standby) to allow ribbon
cartridge loading and to reduce standby noise.
The SMMC board (see Figure C-6) is located in the card cage.

Jumpers: J1/J2 - Factory set at J1 for normal operation
