Hammer Bank Service Position
Putting the Hammer Bank in the Service Position
1. Remove the printer’s power cord from the AC receptacle to insure that
there are no hazardous voltages present while servicing this equipment. It
is also recommended that an anti–static wrist strap (29–26246–01) be
worn, especially while servicing logic components.
2. Remove the paper supply from the print station and tractors.
3. Disconnect four connectors (1) from the bottom of the ribbon deck
assembly (2). (See Figure 5–1.)
4. Squeeze the lock tabs (3) and remove the ribbon spools (4) from the
ribbon hubs (5).
5. Remove three hex head screws (6).
6. Raise the ribbon deck assembly slightly and lift it off the retaining clips
(7). Set the ribbon deck aside.
