4–6 Printer Configuration
Loading Configuration Values
Configuration values saved using the Save Config menu (page 4–5) become
the power–up default configuration. Although the factory settings remain
permanently stored in printer memory, they are overridden by the last set of
configuration values saved.
The Load Config menu then gives you the choice of loading either the saved
or the factory configuration values.
NOTE: If you have not saved a set of configuration values, this procedure
loads the factory value set.
To load a set of configuration values:
1. If the printer is on–line, press the ON LINE switch to take it off–line.
“Off–line Emulation” appears on the message display.
2. Open the printer cover.
3. Press UP and DOWN simultaneously to unlock the Enter switch.
“Unlocked” appears briefly on the message display.
4. Press NEXT or PREV until “Off–line Load” appears on the display.
5. Press DOWN, then press NEXT or PREV to select either “Load Saved”
or “Load Factory”.
6. Press ENTER when the desired selection displays.
The printer loads the parameters then displays “Done”.
7. Press CLEAR to return to “Off–line Emulation”.
8. Press UP and DOWN simultaneously to lock the ENTER switch.
“Locked” appears briefly on the message display.
9. Close the printer cover.
10. Press the ON LINE switch to place the printer on–line.
