Administering the UNIX File System
This chapter introduces file systems, disk partitions, and swap space, and
explains how to perform the following system administration tasks related
to the UNIX File System (UFS):
Adding swap space
Managing file system directories and files
Configuring file system types and locks
Creating file systems
Mounting and unmounting file systems
Tuning and checking file systems
Managing disk space and troubleshooting disks
Repartitioning disks
Cloning disks
Checking for overlapping partitions on disks

The Tru64 UNIX operating system supports many file systems and logical
storage schemes, including:
UNIX File System (UFS)
