The conﬁguration ﬁles supplied with Tru64 UNIX, the GENERIC

ﬁle and the target conﬁguration ﬁle for your system that is

generated by the sizer program at installation time, override

the default values for certain options. For example, the default

value for the maxdsiz option is 32 MB; however, the

conﬁguration ﬁles supplied with Tru64 UNIX increase maxdsiz

to 1 gigabyte.
