Removing Memory
To remove memory:
1. Save all data and shutdown any running applications.
2. Turn off the notebook computer by pressing and holding the [fn] + [Suspend/Resume]
button for four seconds.
3. Turn the unit over so the bottom is facing up.
4. Remove the memory compartment cover (Figure 6-1).
5. Push the tabs away from the edge of the memory module to be removed.
6. Lift the memory module out of the system.
7. Replace the memory compartment cover and press around the edges to make sure it is
properly seated.
Replacing the Removable Hard Disk Drive
Your DIGITAL HiNote Ultra 2000 computer has a removable hard drive. The following
procedures describe how to remove and install the hard drive.

• The power must be turned off. Failure to turn off the power might
damage the notebook computer or hard drive.
• Static electricity can cause damage to the hard drive. Before
handling the hard drive, be sure to discharge all static electricity
from your body by touching an exposed conductive surface of
your notebook computer’s chassis.

Removing the Hard Drive
To remove the hard drive (Figure 6-3 through Figure 6-5):
1. Save all data and close all programs.
2. Turn off your notebook computer by pressing and holding the [fn] + [Suspend/Resume]
button for four seconds.
