Problem Troubleshooting Procedure
You turn on the
computer and one of the
following conditions
apply:
The system is
working, but there
is no LCD panel
display.
The system is
working, but the
LCD panel display
vertical or
horizontal lines.
The backlight
comes on, but
there is no display.
There is a display,
but you have
garbled characters
on the screen.
Make sure that the LCD cable is
securely connected to the
Motherboard.
Make sure that the LCD cables
are securely connected to the
inverter.
If the cables are securely
connected and the LCD still
doesn’t work, replace the LCD
panel and test the system again.
If the display is garbled, verify the
video setup in the operating
system’s Control Panel Display
application. If these are correct,
there is probably a VGA chip
failure. Replace the motherboard.
