System BIOS
This chapter provides information related to the System BIOS and the System Setup utility.
Running System Setup
The System Setup utility enables you to select and store information about the notebook
computer’s hardware configuration, boot sequence, security, and power management features.
This information is stored in the computer’s battery backed-up CMOS RAM.
The System Setup utility also allows you to save and load user specific settings or load the
factory default settings to the CMOS RAM.
System Setup Utility
To run System Setup:
1. Turn On or reboot your notebook computer.
2. During system boot, press [fn] + [F3] when prompted. After the prompt appears you have
two to three seconds to press [fn] + [F3] and enter System Setup.
