Maintaining the Array with the Standalone

Configuration Utility

This chapter presents information about maintaining the array with the standalone

configuration utility. The tasks involve viewing the configuration, changing the

configuration, checking parity, and working with drives

7.1 Introduction

Use the standalone configuration utility to maintain the subsystem in the

following ways:

• View the configuration

• Change the configuration

• Check logical RAID drive parity

• Add a hot spare after initial configuration

• Fail a drive

• Make a drive optimal

• Format a drive

• Rebuild a drive

• View bad block information
