Split Backplane Configuration (RAID)
To connect SCSI devices using a split backplane and two separate RAID channels,
perform the following:
1. Power down the server.
2. Disconnect all peripheral devices from the server.
3. Unlock and remove the server side panels.
4. Connect the cables as shown in Figure 9-3.
5. If using the top 5¼-inch drive bay, connect the appropriate power cable to
the device.
6. Replace and lock the side panels.
7. Connect all external devices and then power on your server.
8. Run the SCSI Configuration Utility or the RAID Configuration Utility to
configure your server.
