Cables
Your server comes with the following cabling arrangements:
•
Two IDE cables
One IDE cable is installed and connected to the factory-
installed CD-ROM drive. The second IDE cable is supplied in the server
accessories kit for installing an optional IDE device.
•
Two wide SCSI cables and terminators
One SCSI cable and terminator
are installed for a single SCSI channel configuration. The second SCSI
cable and terminator are supplied for dual SCSI channel configurations.
•
One jumper cable
The jumper cable is used to connect the two storage
backplane segments together. This cable is installed for a single channel
configuration.
•
External SCSI cable and terminator
The external SCSI cable and
terminator are supplied in the server accessories kit for connecting SCSI
channel 2 on the main logic board to an external storage device. Use the
supplied terminator if no storage device is attached to the SCSI cable.
