2.2.2 Connecting a Serial Cable
If your PC has an AT style serial port, you can use a 9-pin to 25-pin serial
cable available from most computer stores. You can also use an MMJ style
cable with the appropriate adapters. See Appendix D in your DEClaser 5100
Printer User’s Guide for MMJ cable/adapter ordering information.
1. Connect the cable to the printer serial port , using the screws on the
connector to secure the cable to the port .
2. Attach the other end of the cable to the serial port on your PC, using the
thumb-screws (or screws) on the connector to secure the cable to the port.
For the serial port location on your computer, consult your PC
documentation.
