Replacing the Print Head

• Press Install Cartridge to move the print head cariage to the print head

installation/replacement position.

• Open the printer's top cover so as to access the print head.

• Remove the print head by first pushing it towards the rear of the printer (1)

and then lifting it out of its slot (2).

• Be very carefull in holding the print head if it needs to be installed back into

the printer. Follow the instructions explained in section "Preliminary Warn-

ings".

• Close the printer's top cover.

• Press Install Cartridge to return the print head carriage back to its parking

position.

NOTE: Before installing a new print head, check its expiration date printed on

the sealed shell. If top print quality is not obtained for a monochrome print

head, prime the print head.
