States and Indicator Meanings
Functional States
One of the following states will be present in the ON LINE or OFF LINE
operating states.
- FREE No data to be printed.
- BUSY From the reception of data until the completion of its
printing.
- IDLE Data to be printed, but awaiting a Form Feed command
(from console or line).
Indicator Meanings
On-Line
- Lit Indicates that the printer is in the ON LINE operating
state (under operator and computer system control).
On
- Lit Indicates that the printer is switched on, and remains lit
until the printer is switched off.
