7 Advanced Administration
This Chapter explains the settings available via the
"Administration" section of the menu.
7.1 Overview
Normally, it is not necessary to use these screens, or change any
settings. These screens and settings are provided to deal with non-
standard situations, or to provide additional options for advanced
users. The available settings and features are:
PC Database
This is the list of PCs shown when you select the
"DMZ PC" or a "Virtual Server". This database is
maintained automatically, but you can add and
delete entries for PCs which use a Fixed (Static)
IP Address.
Config File
Backup or restore the configuration file for the
Wireless Broadband Router. This file contains all
the configuration data.
Logs
View or clear all logs, set E-Mailing of log files
and alerts.
Diagnostics
Perform a Ping or DNS Lookup.
QoS
Quality of Service settings.
Remote Admin
Allow settings to be changed from the Internet.
Routing
Only required if your LAN has other Routers or
Gateways.
Security
Firewall and other security-related settings.
Normally, the default settings do not need to be
changed.
Upgrade
Firmware
Upgrade the Firmware (software) installed in
your Wireless Broadband Router.
