User manual
ClaroRead 2008
Supports any
computer user
who struggles
with reading and
writing, perhaps
due to dyslexia.
It provides
text to speech
support tools
that allow users
to read and write
independently.
By making a computer speak any text
with a human voice, text documents
can be proofed out loud along with web
pages, emails and any other text.
ClaroRead 2008 - practically any text can
be spoken aloud. You can also scan paper
documents or convert PDF files and have
them spoken. There are male or female
human sounding voices and spoken
words can be tracked using a custom
colour selection. With Word, ClaroRead
offers a homophone and tricky word
dictionary, font and spacing commands,
a thesaurus, spell checker button and a
‘save to audio file’ function. It also has
word prediction and a talking calculator.
Customisable to meet the user’s needs.

Scan2Text V2
Scan2Text V2 extracts
text from a paper
document or PDF
file. It provides easy
access to printed
text using almost any
standard scanner.
It will convert PDF
files and extract text
contained in image
files, such as .tif format. Simply scan
a document and the text is dropped
straight into Microsoft Word. Scan2Text V2
is operated from within Microsoft Word,
by adding just four extra menu items to
the Word File Menu. The text can then be
edited, or read back by a screen reader
or WordRead 2. You can choose to retain
the original format of the document and
retain or remove images. You can even
preview the scanned image and select
the areas of the page that you wish to be
converted into Word. It can automatically
recognise and convert text in over 100
languages. Requires a scanner with a
TWAIN or WIA driver interface.
