Overlay Maker 3®
IntelliKeys Snap-In™ Keyguards
These lightweight
keyguards simply
snap onto IntelliKeys
on top of an overlay.
They are useful
for helping with
accurate choice
making, as well as
providing spatial
separation. They
also help prevent unwanted keystrokes. The black colour helps
to enhance visual discrimination. Includes a disc of matching
Overlay Maker templates.

Overlay Maker 3 has many overlays that you can customise or simply print out and use.
They include alternative keyboards like Dvorak, high visibility or abc layouts. There are
also templates that match the IntelliKeys keyguards. Your overlays will automatically
work with switch scanning. Version 3 also has many ready-made literacy and numeracy
activities, such as simple counting. There are off-computer activities to print out too
including newsletters, game boards, calendars and more.
It is easy to design your own overlays. Simply create keys of any size and location. Then
decide what each key will do by typing in simple keystroke commands. Name and save
your overlay. You can also insert common image files directly into keys, make transparent
keys, apply backgrounds, define switch content by selecting one of fifteen pre-sets,
and flip and rotate pictures on keys. It also has the same simple look and feel as ever.
It is very easy to organise your overlays too, with the simple creation of folders and
sub-folders with different icons and notes.
Overlay Maker 3 offers seamless access to Boardmaker symbol libraries that are installed,
so you don’t need to have both applications open or copy and paste.
Includes the IntelliTools picture library of over 300 useful images, but you can easily
add your own digital pictures.

using Overlay Maker 3. Choose
suitable colours, layout and text.
2. Print it!
Print onto US foolscap sized
paper and, optionally, laminate
for longer lasting overlays.
