MAGEAXS PRO
ImageAXS Pro is fully scriptable (meaning that it understands scripts
written in the AppleScript language). Also, most non–dialog box
options, as well as the functions in the Sort Collection dialog box, are
recordable (meaning that when you use the Record button in the
Script Editor application, the actions you perform with ImageAXS
Pro generate AppleScript statements for performing those actions).
Instructions on how to record and edit scripts are beyond the scope
of this manual, but the Apple Computer book Getting Started with
AppleScript provides basic information for anyone who wants to
learn about scripting and recording.
The Scripts menu in ImageAXS Pro contains some examples of useful
features that can be created via scripting, such as Fill Fields (see
“Entering the Same Data in Multiple Records” on page 7-3) and
sorting the Keyword List (see “Sorting Keywords” on page 8-4) and
Portfolio List (see “Sorting the Portfolio List” on page 9-4) windows.
In the Finder, drag the ImageAXS Pro application icon over the Script
Editor icon to open the ImageAXS Pro Script Dictionary. This
dictionary contains a list of commands (grouped by function) that
can be used to generate ImageAXS Pro scripts.
In addition, a folder of sample scripts is included with
ImageAXS Pro for users with advanced scripting skills to use as
building blocks in creating their own scripts. For more information,
see the Scripts ReadMe document in the folder where you installed
ImageAXS Pro.
