IMAGEAXS 4.0 MACINTOSH USER’S GUIDE
To drag existing records into an open portfolio:
STEP 1 Arrange either the Thumbnails View or the Text List View for the
collection and for the portfolio to which you want to add records
so that both windows are visible at the same time.
You can drag records from a Thumbnails View window to a
Text List View window; the only difference is in how the
records are displayed, not in the records themselves.
STEP 2 In the collection window, click to select the record(s) you want to
add to the portfolio.
STEP 3 After you have selected all of the records you want to move,
click again and drag them into the portfolio window.
White triangles will point outward on both sides of where
the records will be added when you release the mouse.
S
TEP 4 Drop the records where you want them to appear in the
portfolio.
The records appear in the location you chose.
To acquire source files directly into a portfolio:
• Make sure the portfolio to which you want to add files is the active
window, then follow the same steps as you would to add files to a
collection (see Chapter 5, “Creating and Adding to a Collection”).
The files you add will appear as new records in both the
portfolio and the collection to which the portfolio belongs.
To delete records from a portfolio:
STEP 1 Select the record(s) you want to delete.
STEP 2 Choose Delete Record from the Record menu, or (if you have a
Power Macintosh) press CTRL and click any selected record,
then choose Delete Record from Portfolio from the contextual
menu that appears.
The Delete Record/Delete Source File dialog box appears.
