IMAGEAXS 4.0 MACINTOSH USER’S GUIDE
To add files to a collection while using Adobe Photoshop or another program
that uses Photoshop plug-ins:
STEP 1 Save the file in Adobe Photoshop (or the compatible program that
you are using).
ImageAXS cannot acquire files that have not been saved.
If a data record for the file already exists in ImageAXS and
you want to create a new data record for the revised file,
save the file to a different location or with a different name.
STEP 2 In the File menu of Adobe Photoshop, highlight Acquire and
select ImageAXS from the submenu that appears.
The ImageAXS application opens.
STEP 3 Open the ImageAXS collection into which you want to acquire
the Photoshop image file(s).
STEP 4 In the File menu of Adobe Photoshop, highlight Export and
select ImageAXS Export from the submenu that appears.
A data record for the Adobe Photoshop image file is added
to the ImageAXS collection.
If a data record for the file already exists, the thumbnail
image and source file information are updated to reflect any
modifications you have made.
NOTE
If you want to add a file from Photoshop to a collection that was open the
last time you quit ImageAXS, skip Steps 2 and 3 above. Step 4
automatically opens ImageAXS (and whatever collection was open the last
time you quit) if the program is not already open.
